What is the Pick-Diff.com Client?
The Pick-Diff.com Client is a desktop application for Windows that enhances your League of Legends champion selection experience. It runs quietly in the background and automatically detects when you enter champion select, then opens your personalized recommendation page in your browser.
The client connects directly to your League of Legends game client to provide real-time data about your draft, allowing you to make more informed decisions about which champions to pick.
What You Need
- Windows 10 or later - The client is built specifically for Windows
- League of Legends installed - The client needs to detect your game client
- A Pick-Diff.com account - You must be logged in to download and use the client
What It Does
The client runs quietly in your system tray and automatically detects when you enter champion select. It connects directly to your League of Legends game client to gather real-time information about your draft, then opens a personalized recommendation page in your browser with live-updating champion suggestions.
Real-Time Recommendations
As picks and bans are made during champion select, the recommendation system continuously analyzes your draft and provides updated champion suggestions ranked by their statistical strength in your specific situation. The recommendations update in real-time as the draft evolves, ensuring you always have the most relevant suggestions based on the current state of both teams.
How Recommendations Are Calculated
Our recommendation system uses advanced statistical analysis based on high Elo match data to calculate champion strength. For each potential champion, the system evaluates:
- Matchup Win Rates - How well the champion performs against each enemy champion that has been selected
- Synergy Win Rates - How well the champion works with each ally champion on your team
- Base Win Rate - The champion's overall performance in the current meta
- Combined Score - A weighted calculation that factors in matchup advantages, team synergies, and overall champion strength to provide a single ranking score
The system analyzes thousands of recent high-level games to determine these statistics, providing you with data-driven insights to make better champion selection decisions. Recommendations are dynamically updated as each pick and ban is made, recalculating the optimal choices based on the evolving draft state.

- Hover and select champions directly from the recommendation page
- Optionally auto-accept matchmaking queues
- Color-coded indicators showing champion performance in different aspects
⚠️ Windows Defender Warning
Important: This tool is currently in active development and does not have a code signing certificate. As a result, Windows Defender may show a warning when you try to download or run the application.
This is a false positive - the application is safe but as a single developer it's costly to get a code signing certificate. To proceed:
- Click "More info" when Windows Defender shows the warning
- Then click "Run anyway" to proceed with the installation
- You may also need to add an exception in Windows Defender settings
Note: I am a single developer creating this tool and I am currently in the process of obtaining a code signing certificate to eliminate this warning in future releases.
